Job Summary
Resource Geologist
Location: Milford UT Type: Full-Time
Overview:
The Resource Geologist is responsible for building and maintaining resource and grade control models using geological drilling and assay data. This role supports mine planning improves data quality and provides accurate resource estimates to guide operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update resource and grade control models using software such as Surpac Micromine or Leapfrog
- Analyze and validate geological drilling and assay data (QA/QC)
- Perform statistical and geostatistical analysis including block modeling and reconciliation
- Create wireframes ore domains and geological models
- Support mine operations with grade control and geological interpretation
- Lead or assist drilling programs and coordinate with contractors and consultants
- Prepare reports resource estimates and technical documentation (e.g. NI 43-101)
- Train team members and establish SOPs for modeling sampling and QA/QC
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Geology or related field
- 510 years of geology experience including 3 years in resource modeling
- Proficiency with mining software (Surpac Micromine Leapfrog)
- Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of QA/QC processes drilling and sampling practices
Work Environment:
Site-based role with some travel; requires fieldwork in varying conditions and occasional extended hours.
