Job Summary

Community Interface Services is hiring a Full-Time Resource Counselor to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence. This position earns a starting range of $23-25 per hour with a flexible schedule Monday through you are interested in community-driven work then become part of our dynamic person-centered team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Resource Counselor you will work with participants in our Independent Living program and provide individualized person-centered support to each support could look like assisting with maintaining housing accessing resources for children at school and in the community or navigating housing assistance programs. You will manage a caseload of participants of our Independent Living program independently schedule and follow up with each person to ensure they receive the support needed to maintain housing or quality of life.

This role is hands-on one-on-one focused and essential to improving the quality of life for those we we support individuals within their own home or their community theres expected to travel within the Escondido to Vista area.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of housing resources or willingness to learn
  • Experience in accessing resources and benefits
  • Strong communication empathy and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • A High School Diploma or GEDrequired(bachelorsdegree preferred)
  • A valid California drivers license reliable vehicle insurance and 2 years of driving experience
