School Vacations & Summer: MondayThursday 8:00am4:00pm; Friday 8:00am12:00pm
Salary Range: $17$22/hour
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

What Youll Do:

The Resource Counselor provides direct support to youth by implementing treatment goals facilitating skill-building activities and promoting academic social and emotional development.

Direct Care & Youth Development

Facilitate creative activities that promote anger management socialization and behavior management skills
Implement youth-specific treatment plans and goals with a focus on community integration
Support students in achieving treatment plan objectives
Engage youth in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor recreational activities
Provide homework assistance and academic support
Review daily goal achievements with students and their parents or caregivers

Program Support & Documentation

Write and submit progress notes and required documentation for assigned students
Assist in planning and facilitating program activities and special events
Work collaboratively with staff to ensure quality services and positive outcomes for participants
Attend staff meetings trainings and cross-training opportunities as required

Transportation & Safety

Transport students to and from school and scheduled program activities
Follow agency policies procedures and safety protocols
Utilize standard/universal precautions and maintain a safe environment for youth
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designee

What You Bring:
Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED required
Associates Degree (AA/AS) or Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with school-age children with emotional and/or learning challenges required

Skills & Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build positive supportive relationships with youth and families
Ability to facilitate structured recreational and educational activities
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Additional Requirements

Valid drivers license required
Ability to work extended hours during school vacations and summer programming
Ability to transport students safely to and from program activities
