Job Summary

Our Residential Therapist is responsible for clinical duties within the residential treatment milieu. This staff provides individual/group therapy services and coordinates appropriate course of clinical treatment for their primary caseload ensuring clinically appropriate trauma informed treatment interventions consistent with agency program model are provided according to clients assessed needs. This staff also provides clinical supervision of group of milieu staff as assigned.


Our Residential Program:

Crittenton offers the only licensed residential treatment program for pregnant and parenting girls in the state. While girls that are pregnant or parenting are the top priority for admissions approximately 30% of girls come to the residential program solely for specialized behavioral health care in a gender-responsive trauma-informed environment. Crittentons therapeutic approach includes a commitment to providing care in the healthiest least restrictive environment to meet the needs of adolescents. Clients live in the dorm-like main residential building or in supervised houses on the agencys campus. Clients attend school in either the on-grounds classroom or in community schools. Young moms receive Nurturing Parenting Education and have daycare available within the residential facility.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited school.
  • Current WV licensure in the respective fields (LPC LGSW or higher)
  • If unlicensed must be willing to enter into the licensure process within the initial three months of employment.Will consider Masters of Psychology degree
  • Three (3) years experience with at-risk families preferred.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Required to pass a background/CPS check and drug screen



Schedule:

Monday through Friday daytime hours with two mandatory late nights each week; weekends as needed to facilitate Family Integrated Treatment services; on-call program staff duties for a week at a time on a rotating schedule which requires availability after hours and on weekends to consult with residential staff on duty about concerns or emergencies; rotating on call therapist available for clinical consultation for weekends during which assigned on call program staff is not clinical staff. On occasion the Residential Therapist may be required to be on site to support residential needs at atypical times. As an exempt employee schedule may vary according to client needs or program needs. The schedule may fluctuate depending on client needs or program needs.



Responsibilities:

  • Provide initial and ongoing clinical assessments of the consumers strengths and needs.
  • Provide individual group and family therapies using appropriate counseling theory maintaining a consistent caseload of approximately 8-10 residential clients with a minimum of 2 scheduled therapeutic interventions per client each week.
  • Coordinate develop and implement the consumers treatment planning in conjunction with the consumer psychiatrist psychologist care manager and other treatment team members.
  • Complete progress summaries reports discharge summaries and any other written information as required by the agency DHHR courts etc.
  • Facilitate the responsibilities of a mandated reporter of child abuse and neglect in accordance with state statues.
  • Complete and submit time sheets requests for time off and Service Activity logs / documentation on a timely basis while complying with all agency standards regarding such documents.
  • Attend agency/licensing required staff trainings and supervision as scheduled.
  • Facilitate regular clinical supervision of identified milieu staff.
  • Provide oversight and guidance into program development and the therapeutic milieu of the residential program in compliance with Medicaid/licensing/contractual agreements.
  • Participate in the peer review process as well as other review activities both analyzing and responding to the data collected through a formal process including chart audits and corrective actions.
  • Attend and participate in Admission Committee Leadership Team ARC Team or other administrative meetings as assigned.
  • Complete the duties of on-call per rotating schedule.



Salary: $50000 to $62000 (based upon licensure and experience)
