Schedule: ThursdaySunday 10:00 p.m.8:00 a.m. (40 hours/week)
Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan is seeking a full-time Adult Residential Support Professional to join our team at Fahrman Center. Fahrman Center is a 42-bed residential treatment facility providing substance use treatment and restorative justice services for adults in a supportive recovery-focused environment.
As an Adult Residential Support Professional youll provide guidance supervision and compassionate support to residents while helping create a safe structured environment that promotes recovery and personal growth.
Please Note: Due to contractual requirements with the Federal Bureau of Prisons Fahrman Center must have one male and one female staff member on duty at all times. The current opening requires a male staff member who is able to conduct observed urine analyses (UAs) for male residents.

- Provide supervision support and positive role modeling to residents.
- Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Observe document and report resident behaviors progress and daily activities.
- Support residents in achieving individualized treatment goals.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and crisis situations.
- Monitor and/or administer medications in accordance with program policies.
- Assist with meal preparation housekeeping grocery shopping and other daily living activities.
- Transport residents to appointments meetings and other approved activities.
- Collect urine specimens for urinalysis and administer breathalyzer tests as required.
- Facilitate educational and life skills groups within program guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality while communicating professionally with residents coworkers and community partners.
- Attend required meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass required background caregiver and medical clearances.
- Strong communication problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries while working with residents.
- Experience working in substance use treatment behavioral health mental health human services or a related field.
- College coursework in Social Work Psychology Human Services or a related field.
- DHS 83 training (Fire Safety First Aid Standard Precautions and Medication Administration) or the ability to complete required training after hire.
This position is based in a residential treatment setting and requires frequent standing walking bending kneeling and using stairs. Employees may assist with outdoor resident activities and seasonal property maintenance.
