What Youll Do as a Program Coordinator:
Primary duties as a program coordinator:
- Supervise and coordinate daily assignments and procedures for unit staff
- Development of new hires and program development for the child/adolescent direct care teams.
- Interact directly with youth and families. The frequency varies with needs availability of residents and acuity level.
- Interact frequently with therapists physicians and other employees involved in the case.
- Regular interaction with community resources providers coordinate services and referral sources such as: DCS court probation schools and health care providers.
Minimum Hiring Requirements for a program coordinator:
- Bachelors degree in social / human services related field preferred; OR
- Associates degree with two years of experience working in a child caring institution; OR
- HS diploma or equivalent with four years of experience working in a child caring institution and two years of experience in a leadership capacity required.
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid drivers license
