Job Summary
Position Summary
The Residential Fiber Installation Technician is responsible for installing activating and troubleshooting fiber optic services at residential customer locations. This role combines technical installation work with customer service and requires individuals who are dependable mechanically inclined and comfortable working independently in the field.
No prior fiber experience is required for the right candidate. We provide paid training and development opportunities for individuals looking to enter the telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities
Install Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services for residential customers
Route and fish cables through residential structures
Install customer-premise equipment including modems and related hardware
Perform service activations turn-ups and cutovers
Troubleshoot connectivity issues when necessary
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting through company systems
Deliver exceptional customer service during all interactions
Follow all company and customer safety requirements
Maintain company quality standards and production goals
Qualifications
Preferred:
FTTH installation experience
Broadband cable telecom satellite or low-voltage experience
Experience working in customer homes
Required:
Valid drivers license
Ability to work independently
Strong customer service skills
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to safely use ladders and hand tools
Ability to lift carry and move installation equipment
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
