Specialized services aim to help seniors and people with special needs achieve self-sufficiency and retain their housing. Job Description
Under the supervision of theSVP of Resident Servicesand/or the Resident Services Program Supervisor the Resident Services Coordinator will coordinate and oversee community development activities under the Beyond Homes key initiatives: Adult Capacity Building Housing Retention Healthy Living Green Living Community Engagement andlightcase management services toresidentsas needed at affordable housing developments locatedinLos Homes Resident Services program serves various populationsincluding Seniors TAY Families Survivors of Domestic Violence Formerly Homeless and individuals with RSC will ensure ongoing access to resources for residents intervene when individuals are at risk of losing their housing and provide avenues to social service agencies. The RSC works to engage residents with each otherand their greater communities promoting wellness and reducing isolation with the goaltoincrease stabilityindependenceandto promoteaging in placefor senior sites the RSCis responsible foroversight of youth programsincluding out-of-school time programs that focus on social and emotional learning (SEL).The RSCis responsible fortracking programs and referrals through daily attendance referral notes case notes senior sites the RSCis responsible foroversight of programs designed to reduce isolation and focus on aging in working withspecialneedsresidents orformerly homeless populationisrequired to work in collaboration withservice providers to ensurebest practices in permanent supportive housing training will be provided.

Qualifications
Equivalent Education Experiences Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent; and two years related experience in social work human services case management and/or related field required.
- Ability to initiate and maintain effective cooperative-working relationships with community-based organizations public and private organizations
- Ability to organize and oversee meetings activities and events and have an ability to effectively network in the community.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred bilingual literacy in English and Spanish.
- Exceptional public speaking abilities and facilitation skills.
- Availability to work some evenings and Saturdays.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Intermediate computer skills with programs such as Excel Microsoft Word E-mail and the Internet.
- Ability to travel within Abode Communities service area.
