We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Residence Manager to lead and oversee our Childrens StepUp/StepDown Program. This is ashortterm highly structured residentialprogramforchildren and adolescents ages8 to 21with intellectual and developmental disabilitieswhorequireatemporary increase in support due to transitiondestabilizationor assessment needs.

Key Responsabilities:
- Ensures proper staffing ratio throughout assigned residence.
- Oversees compliance with CT DDS regulation of assigned residence.
- Ensures staff assigned to the house receive necessary training.
- Oversees both the daily operation and all procedural routines of assigned residence.
- Ensures that Treatment Team and treatment planning meetings are prepared for and attended.
- Monitors residence documentation requirements and trains and schedules program staff in documentation duties.
- Maintains medication administration certification as well as training mandates.
- Ensures that recreational schedules are submitted to Community Rec. Coordinator.
- Is responsible for assisting residence staff in crisis situations.
- Assists the Program Director as directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred. High school diploma/GED required.
- 1 year of progressive experience in a residential setting that programs for the special needs individuals.
- Strongly prefer previous supervisory experience.
- Have a strong passion for working with and helping children with special needs.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; leadership relationship management and multi-tasking skills are required.
- Computer skills required.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit stand walk and bend and move throughout the workday
- Ability to lift push pull or assist with up to 70 pounds as needed
- Ability to assist with emergency responses including evacuations or crisis situations
Work Schedule:
- Full-time with on-call responsibilities
- Occasional evenings weekends and emergency response required
