Responsibilities
Prepare reagents and standards according to lab SOPs. Oversee maintenance & upkeep of laboratory equipment. Maintain complete and accurate logs containing methodological details. Maintain laboratory in a clean and safe fashion. Help undergraduate scholars with lab work. Perform other related duties as assigned. Data analysis and bioinformatics Histology / Immunostaining / Microscopy Tissue culture experiments with cell lines and/or primary neurons RNA -immunoprecipitation qPCR
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science biology neuroscience or related field required (0 to 2 years experience with above detailed lab techniques for technician level). Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to collaborate well with others. Critical thinking/troubleshooting skills required. Strong organizational skills. Must be able to work independently. Must be careful and detail-oriented. Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks. Must be willing to learn new skills and deal with new and challenging situations enthusiastically. Flexibility is essential.
