Job Summary

Purpose/Objective of the Role:

Coordinate the 3-student staff team for work times and lunch pick-ups and to research and draft content for the Smith Center.


Tasks & Responsibilities:

1) Coordinate student staff each week to cover lunch pick-ups; facilitate some student team meetings.

2) Learn WordPress management and support the lead Wordpress student staff member.

3) Collaborate with the other student team members.

4) Research content for the Smith Center as assigned

5) Write drafts of content in various genres (e.g. annotated bibliographies faculty guides slides).

6) Support the student designers work as a writer;

7) Picking up lunches for events.

8) Other work as assigned.

1) Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

2) Skills in calendar management.

3) Skills in research and writing.

4) Ability to collaborate as part of a team.

5) Ability to own responsibility.


Potential Future Career Benefit:

Employees highly value experience working in teams so both working in the Smith Center student team and coordinating the team will be great work experience. Additionally learning WordPress will be a valuable career skill. Writing is also a highly valued skill.
