The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Utah is seeking a Research Technician to join the Conrady Lab which focuses on ocular immunology and infectious diseases and their impact on visual function. Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Mouse husbandry Mouse handling Mouse genotyping Performing ERGs Viral propogation Western blotting Immunofluorescent staining Tissue preparation and sectioning DNA / RNA isolation RT- PCR Immune assays including ELISAs flow cytometry ect Cell/tissue culture
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelors degree 4 years of directly related work experience). Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels: Research Technician II: Requires at least 1 year of related experience. Research Technician III : Requires 3 years of related experience. Research Technician IV: Requires 5 years of related experience.
