Baumbauer LabThe research is housed in modern laboratory space with state-of-the-art equipment and will build on a long history of innovative service to the KUMC research community.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist all investigators/researchers in the lab on their research efforts including animal care surgery assistance and data collection
Maintain regular communication with the PIs via lab meetings and personal meetings
Generate data and analysis of data for the preparation of published papers
Compile data and other documentation necessary for laboratory compliance for grant submissions
Follow established quality control and quality assurance policies and procedures including appropriate documentation
Complete and maintain compliance training(s) as required by university or laboratory
Perform other duties assigned by PI

Required Qualifications:
Work Experience:
4 years of experience working in a basic science laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree BA or BS in Biology Cell Biology Life Sciences Chemistry Neuroscience or a related field from an accredited institution
Work Experience:
Previous experience with laboratory management
Experience in microscopy histology imaging and molecular biology as well as handling laboratory animals and animal surgery

At the University of Kansas Medical Center a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
