JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applications are being accepted for a Research Assistant position at the Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research (NKI) in Orangeburg NY. This position is embedded within the CONTE Center at NKIs Center for Biomedical Imaging and Neuromodulation (C-BIN) which uses multi-modal approaches to study the functional role of slow brain network fluctuations in shaping behavior and neural processing.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate looking to gain cognitive neuroscience research experience in a fast-paced learning environment technically proficient Research Assistant to support our neuroimaging research (CONTE Center) involving simultaneous multimodal EEG-fMRI and physiological data collection. The overarching goal of this research is to characterize markers of brain network fluctuations and memory reactivation in rich multimodal datasets and to relate these markers to behavior.

JOB DUTIES:

Research assistant responsibilities for this CONTE project includes but not limited to:
Participant recruitment and scheduling
Protocol implementation/data collection (EEG-fMRI physiological and behavioral)
Data scoring preprocessing and management
Five-day work week which includes one (or more) weekend day

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering Neuroscience Psychology Cognitive Science Biomedical Engineering Computer Science or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior human subjects research experience is preferred
Experience in one of the following is preferred: EEG MRI physiological or behavioral data.

Background Investigation/Justice Center Review Requirements:

Prospective appointees will be: 1) Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.
