Job Summary:

iC42 Clinical Research & Development combines quantitative mass spectrometry metabolomics and proteomics under one roof a combination that makes it a unique facility and a CU Medicine site of clinical practice. As a Principal Professional you will lead LC-MS/MS analytics for pre-clinical and clinical studies including work that supports national multi-center trials in a laboratory that is cGLP-compliant CAP-accredited and CLIA-certified.

Day to day you will develop and validate HPLC and LC-MS assays guide study design and data analysis through manuscript preparation and serve as a resource to principal investigators across a range of research disciplines. You will also provide informal leadership to team members including workload guidance and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and lead LC-MS/MS analytics for pre-clinical and clinical academic and regulatory studies

• Develop and validate HPLC and LC-MS assays

• Provide laboratory science expertise and leadership in study design data analysis and manuscript preparation

• Independently review develop and implement new or modified laboratory techniques

• Maintain a GLP-compliant laboratory environment

• Serve as a resource to principal investigators and other stakeholders

• Provide informal leadership to team members including mentoring and workload guidance

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in biology molecular biology chemistry genetics or related field

  • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree on a year for year basis.

• Three (3) years professional level research experience

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in biology molecular biology chemistry genetics or related field

• Four (4) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory

• Four years of experience with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) preferably with HPLC mass spectrometry

• At least two (2) years of hands-on experience working in a regulatory compliance-compliant laboratory environment ideally cGLP or cGMP.

• Outstanding customer service skills

• Knowledge of basic human anatomy physiology medical terminology

• Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information

• Familiarity with documentation practices for regulatory compliant studies

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $64686 - $86679.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
