Research Farm Summer Assistant

The job duties of the Research Farm Summer Assistant will include but are not limited to:

- Measuring and flagging of plots
- changing seed when planting plots
- assisting with the cutting of alleys between replications of plots
- taking stand counts (R1 silk/flower counts in some plots)
- mowing/trimming
- collecting water samples from water quality plots and wetland sites
- cleaning of buildings and machinery
- data entry/paper filing
- harvesting of summer foliage and small grain plots

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications:

• Minimum: interest in agriculture research

• Preferred: background in agriculture/farming
