Job Summary
The Division of Microbiology & Immunology (M&I) within the Emory National Primate Research Center at Emory University is currently seeking a Research Associate to join Dr. Arash Grakouis lab. The Research Associate will investigate if the phenomenon between gut dysbiosis and neurological diseases also occurs in humans and to elucidate whether it may play role in diverse neurological conditions. The Research Associate will continue to expand her expertise in immunology microbiology and neurobiology disciplines. They will oversee training of other junior Postdoctoral Fellows graduate students and undergraduate students here at Emory University. They will continue to participate in providing lectures attending scientific meetings and writing scientific proposals and manuscripts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate continued productivity and excellence in research and teaching.
- Continue professional development to begin to formulate an independent research program to prepare for an independent professional career and to seek an appointment as an independent investigator.
- Seek federal and/or foundation support to fund their research.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional degree and at least two years of postdoctoral training
- Evidence of outstanding research accomplishments during postdoctoral training as demonstrated by principal authorship of peer-reviewed research articles or other scholarly works in respected scientific journals. Evaluation of research accomplishments is based on the number of publications and the quality and scientific impact of the work.
- Originality in generating research ideas and formulating research plans.
- Excellent writing and speaking skills.
- Commitment to leadership in research training and teaching.
- Evidence that the appointees interests and activities are aligned with current or planned Center programs.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING STATEMENT:
