Position Summary

We are seeking a Research Associate with hands-on laboratory experience in protein biochemistry and/or molecular biology. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced collaborative start-up environment and is eager to contribute directly to FL106s scientific platform.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run experiments
• Design plasmids and expression constructs
• Amplify and purify nucleic acids
• Express purify and characterize proteins
• Measure protein binding with SPR ITC KinExa and related techniques
• Conduct cell culture experiments including cell line maintenance transfection and characterization
• Report results clearly to the scientific team

Key Qualifications

• A. or B.S. in biomedical engineering physics biophysics chemistry biochemistry molecular biology and/or biology
• 2 years of industry experience
• Proven track record of research in the form of academic publications or patent filings
• Strong communicator and collaborative team player with keen attention to detail

The salary range for this role is $65000 - $90000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors including a candidates qualifications skills competencies and experience. FL106 currently offers healthcare coverage annual incentive program retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits.
