Were looking for a passionate and curious Research Associate to join our team. As a Research Associate at Evotec youll have the freedom to ask the hard questions think outside the box and find creative solutions that push us forward. Its a role where your curiosity will fuel both your personal growth and the success of the team.

What Youll Do:

• Execute approved work plans in early drug discovery projects.

• Contribute to the optimization and continuous improvement of work plans by providing recommendations for review and approval Senior Scientists (Grade 5 or above)

• Support multiple concurrent projects across modalities and therapeutic areas ensuring efficiency and prioritization of deliverables

• Deliver timely accurate results that meet defined quality standards and project specifications.

• Perform preliminary data analysis for internal review prior to release to internal stakeholders or external customers.

• Design execute and optimize protein expression workflows in one or more host systems including E. coli insect cell platforms (baculovirus and Drosophila S2) and mammalian expression systems to produce high-quality recombinant proteins that meet project objectives and timelines.

• Design execute and optimize protein purification workflows using chromatographic techniques and analytical methods. Operate and maintain ÄKTA chromatography systems troubleshoot purification processes and collaborate with upstream and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality protein preparations for internal and external customers.

• Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety policies including compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) risk assessments and good laboratory practices to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Who You Are:

• Masters degree or Bachelors degree in a relevant scientific discipline with at least 3 years plus experience in industry.

• Technical knowledge of Protein Biochemistry Structural Biology or Biophysics with a proven ability to deliver results across target families within agreed timelines and budget meeting agreed quality criteria.

• Understanding of scientific and technical background of experiments.

• Experience of precise execution of workplans.

• Expected to have some independence making day-to-day technical decisions follow training provided on the correct use and maintenance of lab equipment.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $63000 - $74000. This is a salaried exempt role. Base salary offered may vary depending on the individuals skills experience and competitive market value.
