Research Associate, Associate Principal

As a Research Associate Associate Principal with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

• Support the Office of Critical Technologies as it guides and supports modern research and analysis of strategic biotechnology initiatives.
• Advise top Pentagon leadership on biotechnology issues.
• Work to evaluate and secure cutting-edgetechnologyessential to the modernization of national strategy in defense.
• Represent USD R&E on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in Government-approved conferences and forums in addition to specific USD R&E projects.
• Assist prepare and conduct meetings for current Biotechnology issues.
• Conduct biotechnology research analysis.
• Develop and coordinate concepts and requirements for the application of current and emerging technologies as they apply to DoDs R&E program.
• Assist and prepare presentations and reports to DoD leadership and outside DoD.
• Track the department-wide budget for efforts aligning with Biotechnology.
• Maintain and update Biotechnology modernization roadmaps coordinate roadmaps with key stakeholders.
• Make recommendations to the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) pertinent to mission needs and technical capabilities.

• 5 years of experience of engineering biotechnology and Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E)
• Masters degree in STEM and minimum of 5-years recent experience in biotechnology or an MBA degree.
• Must have a current and active TS/SCI Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
• Excellent writing communication and briefing.
