As a Research Assistant you will support the implementation and conduct of human subject research projects assisting with tasks such as scheduling study participants collecting records developing research tools and coordinating study activities.
This research program focuses on improving quality of life following cancer surgery. Patient-centered care is at the heart of every project with patients serving as active research partners who provide valuable input on study design and priorities. The team is deeply committed to enhancing the patients experience making it the foundation of their research efforts. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assistresearch team with research study related tasks.
Assistwith completion of protocol related activities.
Obtainandmaintainclinical competenciessuch as phlebotomy vital signs ECG POCtestingand other testing asrequired.
Assistwith the development and coordination of the research subject schedule in compliance with the research protocol.
Assistwith the collectionrecordingand maintenance of research study records.
Demonstrate comprehension of assigned research protocols.
Develop andmaintainknowledge of researchprotocolsto coordinate the comprehensive and compliant execution of assigned protocols.
Mayassistin the development and maintenance of research tools such as spreadsheetsquestionnairesand/or brochures.
Maintain study personnel certification records (License CV CITI).
Establish andmaintainfiling systems.
Order andstocksupplies.
Maintain professional relationships including frequent and open effective communication with internal and external customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
HighSchoolDiploma/GED
Demonstratedproficiencywith a variety of computer-based skills including Word processing spreadsheets and database and presentation software
Understand basic concept of study design
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year of experience in a healthcare settingORBachelors Degree
Knowledge of medical terminology
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
In some locations ability to move up to 25 pounds
Personal Protective Equipment:
