A Brief Overview:
The Research Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting and contributing to research initiatives within the hospitals Cardiology department. This position provides an opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge medical research projects that can have a profound impact on patient care and healthcare advancements.

What you will do:

• Collaborating with principal investigators and research teams to assist in the planning design and execution of research studies and experiments.
• Preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness and assisting with the procurement of research supplies and materials.
• Collecting recording and analyzing research data using various techniques instruments and software following established protocols and procedures.
• Conducting literature reviews and assisting in the development of research protocols grant applications and research publications.
• Preparing research materials including laboratory reagents tissue samples specimen shipping and ensuring proper storage and documentation.
• Assisting with participant recruitment consent processes and data collection ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Performing data entry quality control and statistical analysis as well as generating data reports and graphical representations for research presentations.
• Maintaining accurate and organized research records including electronic and paper files and ensuring data confidentiality and security.
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of research proposals grant applications and Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
• Participating in research team meetings contributing to discussions and staying informed about advancements in the field.

What you will need:

• Education: High School Diploma Required; Bachelors Degree Preferred
• Experience: Previous experience in a research role preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred
