Job Description:

A part-time research assistant in the bio-interface soft materials research laboratory of Dr. Sunghee Lee at Iona University. Incumbents in this position will participate in research activities concerning biophysical properties of biological membranes and other soft-materials chemistry research. This position will also assist the PI in management of an undergraduate research group for facilitating effective scholarly activities and group dynamics.



Qualifications

Required Skills:

A qualified applicant holds a Bachelors degree in chemistry/biology or biochemistry and should be familiar with the differential scanning calorimetry micropipet manipulation technique with inverted microscopy; Raman microspectroscopy; and surface and colloid chemistry techniques. Excellent analytical organizational project management and time management skills are needed.
