Research and Product Lead San Francisco, CA 150K-250K

Location: San Francisco CA (In-person 5 days/week)

Compensation: $150000-$250000/year plus competitive equity

This company is the only AI research lab exclusively focused on video data partnering with top AI labs and generating multiple millions in revenue per quarter with a lean team. Its looking for a Research and Product Lead to operate as a high-leverage generalist at the intersection of product applied research customer engagement and operations.

What Youll Own

- Build and manage relationships with frontier AI labs and highly technical customers

- Translate customer needs into internal product and research priorities

- Drive cross-functional execution across research product operations and partnerships

- Help identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable systems and processes

- Navigate technical conversations around datasets model performance infrastructure and AI workflows

- Contribute wherever needed as a high-leverage generalist operator

What Youll Bring

- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent technical degree

- Strong understanding of ML and AI workflows particularly data pipelines and model training

- Enough technical depth to hold substantive conversations with engineers and researchers at frontier AI labs

- Excellent written and verbal communication that commands credibility with senior technical stakeholders

- High curiosity and high EQ

- Comfortable in a fast-moving scrappy startup environment

- Able to work in-person 5 days a week in San Francisco

Nice to Have

- Existing relationships at AI labs or frontier model companies

- Background at a human data company

- Engineering degree paired with experience at a top consulting firm in banking or as an APM at an AI company

- Background in video media or content-related technologies

- Prior early-stage startup experience as an early hire who helped build a customer-facing function from zero
