Work Schedule: Monday Friday
Primary Hours: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.

The purpose of the Research Analyst is to provide data-driven insights and strategic support through the collection analysis and interpretation of statistical data. This position is vital inoptimizingagency operations by generatingaccuratereportsassistingwith compliance audits and resolving workflow and program-related issues. Through effective use of software tools and collaboration with internal stakeholders the Research Analyst contributes to the achievement of the Oklahoma Health Care Authoritys mission by ensuring program effectivenessmaintainingconfidentiality and supporting informed decision-making aligned with organizational goals.
Coordinate reporting activities efficiently using Business Objects and other software tools tooptimizestaff time.
Produce analyze and interpret database reports for accuracy and clarityutilizingvarious software applications.
Communicate professionally with stakeholders both orally and in writingrepresentingthe organization in meetings seminars and training forums.
Coordinate compliance reporting audits and surveys within designatedtimeframes.
Research and resolve workflow enrollment and program-related issues promptly.
Prepare materials for analyzing agency operations ensuring documentation completeness andmaintainingconfidentiality.
Collaborate with staff tooptimizesoftwareutilizationfor efficiency providing training and support as needed.
Stay updated on policy revisions legal regulations and program updates providingaccurateinformation to stakeholders.
Identify resolve and report operational contractual and quality-related issues making recommendations for improvement.
Maintain workflow during staff absences serving as a backup for other programs andcommittees.
Process member enrollment data corrections andmaintaintracking systems for documentation and program updates.
Assistin drafting staff reports summarizing consultation meetings and tracking state plan submissions to CMS.
Provide support and feedback to programs.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to protected health information guidelines ensuring minimum necessary access.
Perform assigned duties as necessary to support agency operations and programobjectives.
Other duties as assigned.
The Research Analyst requires strong analytical skills to evaluate dataproficiencyin statistical methods and software for report generation and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. It also demands knowledge of agency policies state and federal regulations and the ability to coordinate across divisions foroptimalprogram implementation. This post is intended to fill multiple positions within the Eligibility and Coverage Services/Insure Oklahoma division. Selected candidates will be assigned to a specific functional area at the time of hire based on program need and candidate experience. Each trackrepresentsa distinct area of responsibility withinthe program.
Eligibility & Coverage ServicesWorkflow Audits-This position focuses on auditing workflow tasks processed by staff todetermineaccuracy and understanding of the business processes within the unit.It also focuses on evaluating the quality of the work performed by staff.This role ensures the workflow tasks adhere to best practices state and federal policy and regulatory requirements of the Medicaid program.Reporting- This position also focuses on running and developing reports to analyze performance data for the Medicaid member call unit. This information is used toidentifytrends evaluate operational effectiveness and support process improvements.
InsureOklahomaWorkflow Audits:Audit workflow tasks to ensure accuracy quality and compliance with business processes Medicaid regulations and state and federal policies.Identifydiscrepancies and recommend process improvements.Reporting:Develop and analyze Business Objects reports and ICE reports to reconcile errors andmaintaindata accuracy within the Insure Oklahoma program.Leadership:Serve as a lead resource for call center staff by providing support through chat and phone communications andassistingwith daily operations and managerial backup duties.Finance:Process expenditures and accounts receivable transactions reconcile employer subsidy payments and resolve payment discrepancies in compliance with program guidelines.

Abachelors degree which includes9semester hours in statistics statistical research methods economics demographic or social research statistics.OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications in any of the following areas:Certification in Statistical Analysis or Data Science Project Management Certification (PMP or CAPM)Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA)
Proficiencyin Business Intelligence tools
Advanced Excel Certification
Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise levels.In the course ofperforming job duties employeesare required tospeak stand walk and reach with their hands and arms. This position requires extended periods of sitting and daily use of computers and phones. Employees must be willing to complete all job-related travel associated with this position. Being present at the office is an essential function of this position.
