WDAF-TV FOX4 in Kansas City is seeking a dynamic and enterprisingNews Reporterto join our team. This role is ideal for a journalist who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative newsroom and is passionate about telling compelling stories acrossbroadcast digital and streaming platforms.

The successful candidate will be a strong storyteller with excellent live reporting skills a deep understanding of local issues and the ability to connect with viewers in a clear engaging and meaningful way.

• Enterprise original impactful stories that resonate with the local community across all platforms broadcast digital streaming and social media.
• Deliver live reports with confidence and clarity especially during breaking news and developing stories.
• Write and produce content in a clear concise and engaging manner tailored to each platform.
• Build and maintain a network of sources to stay ahead of the news curve.
• Conduct interviews with newsmakers and community members to enhance storytelling.
• Collaborate with producers photographers and newsroom staff to shape coverage and segment ideas.
• Ensure all content meets FOX4s standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
• Contribute to the stations digital presence.
• Take part in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimumtwo yearsof experience in news reporting
• Strong on-air presence and ability to ad-lib effectively.
