Job Summary
- Review and Compliance: Review complex federal and state tax returns with a focus on accuracy compliance and identifying tax-saving opportunities.
- Client Advisory: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients offering year-round tax planning strategic consulting and proactive communication.
- Team Leadership: Train mentor and delegate work to senior and staff accountants fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Project Management: Manage workflow deadlines and budgets for the tax department during peak seasons and throughout the year.
- Technical Research: Resolve complex tax issues and conduct advanced research using modern tax automation tools.
Qualifications :
- Certification: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting; Master of Science in Taxation (MST) or MBA is a strong plus.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of progressive tax experience within a public accounting firm.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of current tax laws multi-jurisdictional compliance and proficiency with tax preparation and research software.
- Soft Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills exceptional critical thinking and proven client-relationship management abilities
