Job Overview

Library is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote HR Manager to join our growing team. This is a full-time fully remote position offering the opportunity to shape our human resources department from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions developing effective strategies and promoting a positive work environment that encourages both personal and professional growth. You will be instrumental in managing the entire employee lifecycle and ensuring our HR operations are seamless and efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including sourcing interviewing and onboarding new team members.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for employee relations addressing any demands grievances or other issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Nurture a positive engaging and inclusive working environment across our distributed team.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and employee development.
  • Maintain and enhance our compensation and benefits programmes to ensure they are competitive and equitable.
  • Identify training needs and create or procure professional development programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and best practices updating policies and procedures as required.
  • Maintain employee records and reports with the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Human Resources Manager or in a similar senior HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrable experience with the full range of HR functions including recruitment employee relations performance management and staff development.
  • Excellent people management and interpersonal skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities with a proven capacity to handle multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • A degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
  • A professional HR qualification (e.g. CIPD) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within a remote or technology-focused company would be a significant advantage.
