Job Summary
Ogletree Deakins has multiple opportunities for attorneys with 7 years of labor & employment experience to join the firm to work directly with a specific group of our clients on a variety of employment law matters! This is a flexible opportunity for an attorney to assume the role of a non-shareholder track counsel on a fully remote basis from any location.
The Counsel attorney will have an emphasis on counseling a specific group of clients on employment-law-related matters including hiring leave issues policies and practices reasonable accommodations discipline and discharge investigations ADA/FMLA and wage & hour. This role will also be responsible for developing and conducting recorded webinars on employment-related topics. This attorney will also draft/revise policies handbooks forms checklists and other documents for use by these clients.
While this role will not be required to work in-office the attorney will be included in the firms annual all attorney retreat and will have access to the firms extensive learning and development resources.
This position may be remote but the successful candidate must reside in a state where the firm has a physical office

- Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in any state. During employment must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.
- Candidates must possess 7 years of employment law experience and have extensive experience advising clients on employment-law-related matters conducting training and drafting and revising employment related policies and forms.
Preferences:
- Candidates with subject matter expertise in areas of DOT/trucking law (i.e. hours of service FMCSA medical certifications and CDL issues) drug and alcohol testing wage and hour ADA/FMLA OSHA immigration and/or background checks preferred.
- Candidates with expertise on state and local laws in NJ NY CT and/or MA preferred.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $190000 and $207500. In accordance with New York States Wage Transparency Law the expected salary range for this New York State position is between $190000 and $207500. In accordance with Californias amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162 the expected salary range for this California position is between $190000 and $207500. In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities act the expected salary range for this Washington position is between $190000 and $207500. In accordance with the Wage Transparency Omnibus Amendment Act the expected salary range for this DC position is between $190000 and $207500. In accordance with Marylands Equal Pay for Equal Work-Wage Range Transparency Law the expected salary range for this Baltimore position is between $190000 and $207500. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience geographic location and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
