Remote Dispatcher

The Remote Dispatcher position at Meyer Plastics Inc is responsible for coordinating transportation delivery schedules and shipment operations for a plastics manufacturing or distribution company. This role involves ensuring efficient communication between drivers warehouse staff customers and vendors while monitoring deliveries resolving transportation issues and maintaining accurate dispatch records remotely.

• Schedule and coordinate shipments pickups and deliveries of plastic materials and products.
• Communicate with drivers carriers warehouse teams and customers regarding delivery timelines and updates.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve transportation delays or routing issues.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs shipping records and delivery documentation.
• Track inventory movement and coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure order readiness.
• Use dispatching and GPS tracking software to manage transportation operations.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding delivery schedules and shipment status.
• Ensure compliance with company policies transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Assist with route planning to improve delivery efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
• Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for management.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• 12years of dispatching logistics transportation or customer service experience.
• Experience in manufacturing plastics or supply chain operations is a plus.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with dispatching software Microsoft Office and communication tools.
• Excellent multitasking communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
