STÜWE GmbH & Co. KG has established itself as an industry leader in the manufacture of mechanical components for drive technology. We specialise in friction-locked shaft-hub connections and braking systems for a wide range of applications. We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Remote Data Conversion Specialist to join our team on a Full-Time basis. This is a fully remote position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing the entire data conversion lifecycle ensuring the seamless and accurate migration of critical business data. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our business systems by guaranteeing data integrity and accessibility.
Responsibilities
* Plan coordinate and execute complex data conversion and migration projects.
* Develop and implement robust data extraction transformation and loading (ETL) processes.
* Analyse and map data from legacy systems to new platforms ensuring compatibility and accuracy.
* Perform comprehensive data cleansing validation and deduplication to maintain high standards of data quality.
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including IT and business departments to define data conversion requirements and objectives.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues that arise during the conversion process.
* Create and maintain detailed documentation of all data conversion procedures mapping rules and processes.
* Develop reports to monitor data quality and the progress of migration projects.
Qualifications
* Proven professional experience as a Data Conversion Specialist Data Migration Specialist or in a similar role.
* Strong proficiency with SQL and extensive experience with relational database systems.
* Demonstrable experience with ETL tools and data migration methodologies.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
* The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
* A degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related discipline is highly desirable.
* Previous experience working within a manufacturing or engineering organisation is advantageous.
