REMC-Groundman

The groundman position provides training of individuals prior to being entered into the Linemen Apprenticeship program. Major responsibilities include assisting with construction operation replacement and maintenance of electric distribution lines structures and equipment while observing safety regulations.

Qualifications :

What Were Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Indiana Class A CDL or ability to obtain one
• Ability to adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines including all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work & communicate effectively with management employees members and others.
• Strong mechanical aptitude problem-solving skills and safety-first mindset
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions and meet physical job requirements
• Must meet residency requirements within one year of hire date.
• Subject to random drug and alcohol testing consistent with FMCSA regulations and Cooperative policies.
