We are seeking a Reliability Vibration Technician to join our team and support a life sciences client in Rahway this hands-on technical role you will serve as the subject matter expert in condition monitoring and reliability engineeringwith a primary focus on vibration analysis and infrared thermography.
You will diagnose complex equipment issues drive proactive maintenance strategies and partner closely with Maintenance Engineering and Operations to improve equipment uptime reduce lifecycle costs and enhance overall system performance. This is a highly technical position for a professional who thrives on failure prevention data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
What Youll Do
Perform advanced vibration analysis on rotating equipment including motors pumps fans compressors and gearboxes
Conduct infrared (IR) thermographic inspections across electrical mechanical and process systems
Diagnose complex failure modessuch as bearing failures misalignment imbalance and electrical anomaliesand recommend corrective actions
Lead and support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and implement failure elimination strategies
Develop and refine Predictive Maintenance (PdM)Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs
Partner with engineering and operations teams to support capital projects equipment upgrades and reliability improvements
Mentor junior analysts and support training initiatives to promote reliability best practices
What You Bring
Required:
ISO Vibration Analysis Certification (Category I II III or IV) Category III or IV preferred. Candidates with Category I or II will be considered if they have 1015 years of strong predictive maintenance and vibration analysis experience.
510 years of experience in reliability engineering condition monitoring or rotating equipment analysis
Deep expertise in vibration analysis techniques: FFT waveform phase and resonance
Experience with predictive maintenance tools IR/vibration software and CMMS systems
Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience (Associates degree accepted with sufficient experience)
5 years of supervisory or management experience including direct oversight of staff CMMS/work-order programs and account-level reliability deliverables
Strong documentation skills and ability to work in a regulated environment
Preferred:
Infrared Thermography Certification (Level I II or III) or equivalent experience
Experience in pharmaceutical life sciences or other regulated industries (food & beverage chemicals utilities) with formal QA/GMP-style documentation
Large-account or multi-site facilities management experience
