Position Summary
The Reliability Planner is primarily responsible for all aspects of planning and material coordination of maintenance work at the client plant. This position has accountability for development and maintenance of documentation systems and archiving standard job plans. The goal of this position is to enable safe and efficient work performed by client Maintenance Technicians contract maintenance technicians and outside contractors.
Responsibilities
Execute Planner Role of the Reliability Work Processes.
Supports the Reliability Work Process consistently striving for improvements.
Provides support to the planning team in support of the site reliability schedule.
Plan work orders as they are received (Work Planning Process).
Develop and archive standard job plans for routine shutdown and preventative maintenance work.
Order materials and/or request materials from the store room for planned jobs (with as much notice to Procurement/Storeroom as possible).
Works closely with the Operations Gatekeeper and Reliability to ensure that the priority planned work is scheduled.
Maintain and report unplanned work backlog at acceptable levels.
Maintain and report ready to execute backlog.
Work closely with Operations Planner and Maintenance Scheduling Leader to prioritize and proactively schedule all maintenance and reliability work.
Plan and schedule work performed by third party contractors.
Track and report on the Work Order Process KPIs.
Contribute to ongoing utilization of a CMMS for the PGA plant.
Lead in ongoing implementation and utilization of all PGA equipment files and data in CMMS and other databases.
Support the management of spare parts.
Support the Maintenance Scheduling Leader with planning expertise to effectively execute Turnarounds.
Support Scheduling in absence of Maintenance Scheduling Leader.
Reviews the weekly forecast and the associated job plans to match the reliability activity needs with resources availability materials and equipment requirements.
Works closely with the Operations Gatekeeper and Reliability to ensure that the priority planned work is scheduled.
Qualifications
Knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling.
Working knowledge of chemical process operations OSHA and PSM.
Technical knowledge and experience in maintenance procedures and methods and familiarity with maintenance scheduling and planning.
Prior experience implementing a maintenance work process.
Ability to use a maintenance-scheduling tool to create effective and realistic weekly / daily and T/A schedules.
Leaders assist employees in removing real or perceived barriers to implementation and/or use of the work processes.
Must have ability to communicate effectively with operations technical mechanical/electrical maintenance technicians.
Based upon an understanding of the work processes and designed roles leaders assign roles to personnel with the required competencies provide training for required knowledge and skills clarify responsibilities allocate resources measure performance and provide feedback.
Education Requirements
High School diploma or GED-required
Associate or bachelors degree in Technical Field Preferred.
