Job Description:

Release of Information Specialist

*Remote position*

The Release of Information Specialist is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for Ciox Elaras outsourced release of information (ROI) service this role the Release of Information Specialist will receive and date stamp paper and electronic requests send them to Ciox and track the status of ROI requests in Cioxs HealthSource system. Additionally the Release of Information Specialist will ensure Elaras ROI workflow process is followed based on request type and interface with Compliance HR Legal and the field as needed.

What is Required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in medical records quality regulatory or compliance department
  • Basic clerical and customer service experience are also required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial clinical and operational information
  • Proven familiarity with medical administrative ethical legal and regulatory standards of the health care system including HIPAA privacy and release of information regulations
  • Reliable transportation to perform job tasks

You will report to the Senior Vice President of Compliance.

The base rate for this position is$40000-$44000 annually and is based on the companys good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as education experience skills and internal equity.
