Reinsurance Contract Administrator
Location: Houston TX (Hybrid 4:1)

Reviews and drafts reinsurance contracts in accordance with regulatory and company requirements. Provides advice and counsel to internal customers concerning all aspects of the Reinsurance function.
- Obtain reinsurance documentation in accordance with statutory timeframes.
- Compare contract clauses to Company standards and state requirements.
- Answer reinsurance contract related questions from Accounting and Claims.
- Compile written review notes for distribution to counterparty and enforces wording compliance.
- Escalate non-compliant wording to Manager and documents any exceptions to file.
- Create draft synopsis of reinsurance contract for review by manager.
- Identify risk transfer triggers to manager for possible review by Actuarial.
- Input data to various tracking databases and produces reports.
- Communicate with counterparties to ensure that reinsurer signatures are received within nine months.
- Maintain orderly and compliant contract files.
- Assist with Security Committee report.
- Bachelors degree in Business a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience.
- 2 years of relevant and progressive professional experience.
- Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles practices and procedures.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality tact and diplomacy.
- Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledgeable of industry changes legal updates and technical developments related to applicable area of the Companys business to proactively respond to changing business environment.
- Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel Access PowerPoint Word).
Occasional travel (up to 10% of time).
