Position Summary:

Thisposition exists tofacilitateall functions of the Office of theRegistrar: course scheduling registration academic records individual/totalcourse withdrawals transcript processing degree evaluations transferevaluationcommencementdegreeandenrollmentverificationsVeteransbenefitscertificationandNCAA academiceligibility certification.

TheOfficeoftheRegistrarsupportsthemissionoftheinstitutionthroughitsroleofaccuraterecordkeepingand data management byproducing class schedules conductingregistrationmaintainingacademic records producing transcriptsverifying degreeevaluationsandassistingwithcommencementceremonies.

Thispositionassistsacademic units and students inensuringcompliancewith university policies andprocedurespertainingtotheobservanceofacademiccalendarsgradingpracticesandtherecordingofacademic performance.

Thisposition isinvolvedwith various administrative and academiccommittees including but not limited to Academic Policies Committee FacultySenate Undergraduate Council Banner Student Team StudentFinancialscommitteeInformationTechnologycommitteeandtheEllucian/BannerDataStewardscommittee.

ThispositionreportsdirectlytotheAssociate Vice President of Enrollment Managementandwillprovidecreativeleadership forallthe stafffunctions and affairs of the Office of the Registrar.

Job Duties:

25% Providestrategic leadership and operational oversight for the Office of the Registrar

Including theadministration integrity security and maintenance of student academicrecords and related services. Direct and coordinate all functions associatedwith registration grading transcripts degree conferral academic standingrecords retention classroom scheduling enrollment reporting and graduationprocessing. Establish divisional priorities operational goals and servicestandards aligned with institutional strategicobjectivesand studentsuccess initiatives.

20% Provide institutional leadership andcoordination for the academic catalog and curriculum implementation processes

Serve as the institutionalauthority for the operationalization of approved curricular actions includingthe creation of new academic programs certificates concentrations andcourses; modifications to existing curriculum; program deactivations and discontinuations;modality changes; and implementation of academic policy updates. Ensurecurricular changes are accurately translated into institutional systemsstudent-facing materials degree audit structures reporting frameworks andcompliance documentation. Collaborate with Academic Affairs academic collegesadmissions marketing advising and other campus stakeholders tosupporttimelyand coordinated implementation of curricular andprogrammatic changes.

15% Collaborate with Information Management& Technology (IM&T) and institutional stakeholders to maintainenhance and optimize student information systems and relatedtechnologies supporting academic operations and enrollment management.

Serve as the functionallead for student systems within the Registrars operational scope includingsystem enhancements workflow improvements data governance reportingstructures integrations and process automation initiatives. Provideleadership for implementation and ongoing support of technologies related toregistration degree audit curriculum management catalog managementscheduling and academicrecords.

15% Interpret communicate and ensureinstitutional adherence to university state federal accreditation andsystem-level regulations policies and reporting requirements related toacademic records and student enrollment operations.

Maintaininstitutionalcompliance associated with FERPA NCAA VA certification state authorizationfinancial aid enrollment reporting academic calendar structures curriculumcoding instructional modalities and other regulatory requirements affectingstudent records and academic operations.

10% Provide institutional leadership

In theresolution of complex and sensitive student faculty and administrative issuesrelated to academic records curriculum implementation registration transferarticulation academic standing graduation eligibility policy exceptions andenrollment processes.

10% Support institutional planning assessmentaccreditation and strategic initiatives through data analysis reportingpresentations committee participation and operational consultation.

Contribute touniversity-wide efforts related to student success retention persistenceacademic policy development institutional effectiveness compliance reviewsand academic operations modernization initiatives.

5% Develop and manage operational budgetspersonnel resources and organizational planning for the Office of theRegistrar.

Provide leadershipfor staff development succession planning cross-training organizationaleffectiveness and continuous process improvement initiatives to ensurehigh-quality service delivery and operational continuity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters degree from an accredited institution in Higher Education Administration Business Administration Public Administration Student Affairs Organizational Leadership Information Systems or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a Registrars Office or closely related higher education administrative function including responsibility for academic records registration curriculum implementation student information systems and compliance; or significant experience serving as an Associate Registrar or equivalent leadership role within a complex higher education environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic records administration enrollment operations curriculum implementation catalog management and student information systems.
  • Experience interpreting and applying policies regulations and institutional procedures with sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership organizational analytical interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with faculty staff administrators students and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct leadership experience across Registrars operations and managing complex academic records and
    registration functions.
  • Experience leading or administering enterprise student information systems preferably Ellucian/ Banner degree audit registration curriculum and related technologies.
  • Success leading organizational change operational modernization cross functional initiatives and continuous process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of FERPA accreditation requirements academic policy curriculum implementation and regulatory compliance affecting Registrar operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships across campus while fostering service excellence inclusive leadership staff development and student success.
