Veterinary Technician

Salary: $20 - $24 per hour determined by the candidates skills experience and qualifications.

Schedule: This is a full time position. Work the same four days each week (MondayFriday 7:20am-6:00pm (1:30pm-2:30pm lunch break) with one Saturday (7:45am-1:00pm) shift every few weeks. Consistent day off each week!

KeyResponsibilities:

• Support veterinarians with patient care exams surgery anesthesia and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients including care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties such as lab work radiographs injections and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms treatment areas and equipment clean stocked and ready.
• Follow hospital safety and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in Indiana.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA OSHA and hospital safety guidelines.
