HOURS: Fri-Sun 8am-8pm call and holidays included

The registered sonographer performs a variety of technical imaging procedures and provides quality care to patients.


Experience: Experience preferred but not required.

Licensure certification and/or registration: ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas OB/Gyn Abd or Neurosonography. CPR certification required.

• Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to during and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
• Operates highly specialized equipment including radiographic CR (Computed Radiography) DR (Digital Radiography) and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
• Trains students and staff as assigned.
• Creates a safe comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
• Assesses data reflective of the patient information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
• Interacts with patients families visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop coordinate and manage the plan of care.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.

Experience: none

Licensure certification and/or registration: ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas: OB/Gyn Abd or Neurosonography. CPR certification required.

Other: Interpersonal technical skills and flexibility in assignments.

Compensation Range:

$33.52 - $50.28

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications credentials education and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
