Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Days)

• Nonbillable Hours: 12 hours
  
• Dress Code: Gray Scrubs
  
• Traveler Policy: Anyone with a permanent address within a 35 mile radius of facility is considered a local traveler.
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform chest examinations on a range of patients from babies through to the elderly
  
• Consult with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient treatment plans
  
• Provide detailed therapy requiring significant independent judgment like when caring for patients in intensive care
  
• Perform physical examination and diagnostic tests measuring lung capacity and blood acidity and alkalinity
  
• Treat patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
  
• Connect patients who cant breathe to a ventilator
  
• Educate patients on how to use equipment and medication
  
• Regularly check on patients and equipment
  

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 2 Years of RRT Experience
  
• Must have Travel Experience
  
• Must have ACLS and NRP certifications
  
• Must have Michigan State License Requirements
  
• Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  
• Effective team skills including interaction support and respect are required.
  
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Excellent communication skills professionalism and reliability
  
• Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents completing forms opening and sending e-mail messages.
