Schedule: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (6:45 PM 7:15 AM)
- Every other weekend required

Job Summary:The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care under the supervision of departmental leadership. This role includes administering respiratory therapy treatments managing life-support equipment and delivering patient-centered care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory therapy treatments diagnostic evaluations and patient care for individuals with cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Assist with intubations and perform ventilator setup monitoring and management.
- Assess patient conditions and gather clinical data to determine appropriate care plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers on disease processes treatments and respiratory care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress.
- Build strong relationships with patients caregivers and team members to support care goals.
- Adhere to organizational standards policies and safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a licensed RRT
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
- Experience with ventilator management required
- Willingness to float to adult ICU intermediate care and step-down units
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Active New Jersey Respiratory Care License
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS
- PALS
Required Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge in respiratory care and cardiopulmonary conditions
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- High level of accountability and patient-centered focus
Physical Requirements:
- Lift at least 5 lbs
- Push/pull at least 5 lbs
- Stand for extended periods
