Schedule: Night Shift 3x12-Hour Shifts
Shift Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
- Weekly Pay: $2200 $2351 (based on experience)
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week assignment in Hyannis MA. The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions in a fast-paced acute care environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience advanced ventilator management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Assess and identify acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction
- Initiate and manage ventilatory support utilizing lung protective ventilation strategies
- Recommend and adjust ventilator settings based on patient condition and clinical response
- Perform diagnostic respiratory procedures including:
- Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) draws
- Bedside spirometry
- Capnography monitoring
- Sputum specimen collection
- Interpret ABG results and monitor respiratory status during intra-hospital transport
- Respond to codes and Rapid Response Team (RRT) events
- Assist with conscious sedation procedures intubations and bronchoscopies
- Maintain artificial airways and perform suctioning and tracheostomy care
- Administer aerosolized medications and non-invasive ventilation therapies
- Provide respiratory care support in ICU ER OR inpatient floors and Bronchoscopy Suite
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and patient care planning
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Assist in training and precepting respiratory therapy students and staff as needed
- Degree in Respiratory Therapy required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy License required
- Current BLS Certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Minimum one (1) year of critical care experience preferred
- Experience with ventilator management and advanced respiratory procedures preferred
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
