Schedule: Night Shift 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Compensation
- Local Candidates: From $1100/week
- Traveler Candidates:Upto$1470/week
Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide specialized respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients in a critical care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong ICU experience and be proficient in advanced respiratory support and life-saving interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to adult and geriatric ICU patients
- Manage ventilator support including BiPAP CPAP and mechanical ventilation weaning
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis
- Administer respiratory medications via nebulizers and inhalers
- Deliver oxygen therapy including high-flow nasal cannula and aerosol treatments
- Assist with airway management procedures such as intubation support extubation suctioning and tracheostomy care
- Monitor maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ventilator alarms
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and critical care teams to optimize patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Indiana State RRT License (NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist) Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Required
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Required
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience including 18 months of recent ICU experience
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and ICU protocols
- Ability to manage critically ill patients in high-pressure environments
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
