Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Hackensack NJ
Type: Contract

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care services for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic evaluations under physician direction
  • Assess treat and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary conditions
  • Assist with intubations and provide ventilator setup monitoring and management
  • Perform respiratory care procedures in accordance with clinical standards
  • Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding respiratory conditions and treatments
  • Document assessments treatments and patient responses accurately
  • Float to Adult ICU Intermediate Care Units and Basic Intermediate Care Floors as needed
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Respiratory Therapist experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
  • Previous ventilator management experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
  • Active New Jersey Respiratory Care License required
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification required
  • BLS (AHA) Certification required
  • ACLS (AHA) Certification required
  • PALS (AHA) Certification required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Acute care hospital experience preferred
