Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to support Sleep Lab operations within a collaborative healthcare environment. The technologist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic sleep studies operating specialized monitoring equipment assisting physicians during procedures and ensuring high-quality patient care throughout the testing process.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical expertise in polysomnography excellent patient communication skills and the ability to manage both technical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily Sleep Lab operations under departmental leadership
Set up calibrate and operate polysomnographic and diagnostic sleep equipment
Perform physician-ordered sleep studies and related diagnostic procedures
Monitor and evaluate patient physiological responses during sleep testing
Assist physicians during sleep-related procedures as required
Provide therapeutic interventions with a strong focus on patient safety and comfort
Deliver age-appropriate care across diverse patient populations including infants children adolescents adults and older adults
Accurately document all procedures in accordance with hospital and departmental standards
Maintain Sleep Lab equipment functionality and manage supply inventory
Ensure efficient workflow through strong time management and organizational skills
Support administrative and operational functions within the Sleep Lab
Deliver compassionate customer service to patients families visitors and healthcare team members
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential
Active CPR certification
Strong knowledge of:
Polysomnography procedures and protocols
Sleep study equipment setup and operation
Patient monitoring and data interpretation techniques
Excellent communication organizational and patient care skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a Sleep Lab or hospital-based polysomnography setting
Experience working with patients across all age groups
Strong troubleshooting and equipment maintenance capabilities
