Pay Rate: $65 Travel stipends if applicable

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM 6:30 PM (Pacific Time)

Contract Length: 1 year with the option to extend

Job Description:

The Pharmacist will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in support of patient safety for an IHS facility. This role supports outpatient and/or inpatient pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with federal regulations clinical standards and facility policies.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program

• Active current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory

• Current CPR and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Active Liability Insurance

• Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements

Responsibilities:

• Review verify and dispense prescription medications in accordance with federal regulations and facility policies

• Provide medication counseling and education to patients and caregivers

• Ensure accurate medication order entry and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

• Monitor drug therapies for appropriateness interactions allergies and adverse reactions

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes

• Maintain compliance with federal facility and pharmacy practice standards

• Support inventory management medication storage and controlled substance procedures
