Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care

Location: New York NY
Schedule: Day Shift 8:00 AM 4:30 PM 4 Shifts per Week Every Other Weekend
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Duration: 06/22/2026 09/26/2026

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Wound Care to provide specialized wound ostomy and continence care services in a hospital setting in New York New York. The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments develop individualized care plans provide education and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessment interviews focused on wound ostomy and continence care

• Perform focused physical assessments and develop individualized care plans

• Assess and document patient responses to wound care treatments and interventions

• Recommend medications treatments supplies technology and equipment as appropriate

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and initiate referrals when needed

• Provide patient family and staff education related to wound and ostomy management

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing quality programs

• Initiate preventative measures for patients at risk for pressure injuries

• Assist with staff orientation in-service training and continuing education programs

• Manage specialty equipment including specialty beds and negative pressure devices

• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with patient rights policies

• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and support conflict resolution when necessary

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) required

• Active New York State RN License required

• AHA BLS Certification required

• Current certification in CWOCN CWON CWCN CWS or WCC required

• Minimum two years of Med/Surg nursing experience required

• Previous wound care and colostomy care experience required

• Strong patient assessment and care planning skills

• Experience in patient and staff education preferred

• Excellent communication clinical judgment and documentation skills
