Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format):
- Contract Details: 48-hour contract; overtime paid after 48 hours.
- Patient Ratios: Must have experience in SD/PCU with 1:5 ratio; ICU experience does NOT count toward SD/PCU.
- Targeted Patient Ratio: 1:5-6.
- Experience Required: Minimum 1.5 years of SD/PCU experience; Level 1 or 2 facility experience preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- EPIC EMR experience required.
- Must pass online EKG/telemetry competency before starting.
- Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips.
- IV start skills required.
- Certifications:
- BLS and NIH required.
- ACLS preferred.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be fitted for N95 mask before working on HRRU (unless PAPR offered/needed).
- Travel nursing experience preferred.
- Floating:
- First to float based on Premiers discretion.
- Will float between specialty clusters and Premier Health campuses (Main South North-all within 15 miles).
- May be assigned patient care or support roles when floating.
- Scheduling:
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.
- Premier Health may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract for low census.
- Contract can be cancelled with 2 weeks notice by Premier Health.
- Incentives: Travelers not eligible for Premier Health employee incentives.
- Unit Information:
- Advanced Care Unit (ACU): Patients include heart failure chest pain NSTEMI post-procedure COPD exacerbation overdose/withdrawal.
- Must be competent with running IV drips (heparin nitroglycerin amiodarone Cardizem insulin etc.).
- Average daily census: 31.
- Navy blue scrubs required.
- Time Off:
- All RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted with application-no additional RTO after offer.
- RTO approval is at managers discretion.
- Submission Requirements:
- Application must include relevant experience (1:5 ratio in SD/PCU) current Nursys report and certifications if not listed in application.
