Join our team and make a meaningful impact inpatient care every day. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care RN who is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes. The Wound Care RN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care including but not limited to advanced wound care for patients across the lifespan as well as other clinical activities that support safe high-quality patient care. This role follows all WHC policies and procedures established care protocols and Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines working in collaboration with physicians and under the direction of a Registered Nurse when applicable.

A Wound Care RNwho excels in this role:

• Performs duties as assigned and requested.
• Completesfocusedpatient assessments and reassessments based on patients condition procedures medications and treatments.
• Adequately assesses and reassesses pain;utilizesappropriate painmanagement techniques.
• Provides patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and ensures correct administration following the six rights to minimize medication errors.
• Assistsphysicians with procedures and provides services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Performs treatments and delivers care withinlicensurescope.
• Ensures patient safety by performing all aspects of care in an environment that reduces the likelihood of errors.
• Operates and manages equipment safely and correctly.
• Educates patients and families on disease processes and recovery expectations.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What were looking for

Applicants should have a current state or compact state RN license and possess an associates degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of hire.
• Experience: One-year previous experience required.
• Licenses: Must have a current state or compact state RN license.
• Education: Associates degree required. BSN preferred.
