As a Surgery RN at The Womens Hospital youll play a vital role in supporting patients through surgical procedures ensuring safe compassionate and high-quality care from pre-operative preparation through recovery.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative fast-paced environment where clinical expertise critical thinking and attention to detail directly impact patient outcomes. Youll partner closely with surgeons anesthesia providers and perioperative teams to support a seamless surgical experience for every patient.

What Youll Do

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a womens health-focused environment.
• Prepare patients for surgery including assessment verification of orders and patient education.
• Coordinate and implement individualized plans of care across the perioperative continuum.
• Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and surgical staff to ensure safe efficient procedures.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes using strong clinical judgment and evidence-based practice.
• Support intraoperative and immediate post-operative care as needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures recovery expectations and follow-up care.
• Document assessments interventions and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.

Required

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or another compact licensure state.

Preferred

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Previous surgery or perioperative nursing experience.
